Trial Attorney

Role Description: The Trial Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury matters, including evaluating claims, developing case strategies, and advising clients on legal options and risks. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, preparing and defending depositions, and representing clients at hearings, mediations, and trials. The role also involves negotiating settlements, collaborating with legal support staff and experts, and maintaining accurate, timely case documentation. The Trial Attorney will be expected to uphold high ethical standards, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and actively contribute to the firm’s litigation success.

Qualifications: Strong foundation in personal injury law and related legal principles, including liability, damages, and insurance practices. Demonstrated experience handling motions and written advocacy, including drafting, filing, and arguing substantive and procedural motions. Comfort and proficiency in courts, including attending hearings, participating in mediations, and navigating local court rules and procedures. Proven trial skills, including case preparation, examination of witnesses, presentation of evidence, and courtroom advocacy. Experience conducting and defending depositions, with the ability to elicit key testimony and preserve the record effectively. Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Effective communication and client counseling skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, accessible manner. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, work collaboratively within a litigation team, and exercise sound professional judgment. Prior experience in personal injury litigation, insurance defense, or civil trial practice is highly preferred.
