About The Role: Our recruiting firm is partnering with a leading manufacturer of off-road and recreational vehicles to identify a Requirements Engineer. This role will support the advancement of Systems Engineering practices across vehicle development programs by defining, managing, and maintaining high-quality requirements for complex vehicle systems and subsystems. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, understands what constitutes effective requirements, and has experience with requirements management tools. Job Description: As a Requirements Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, product development, and project teams to capture, document, and manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring requirements are clear, complete, traceable, and aligned with stakeholder needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities: Elicit, analyze, and document system and subsystem requirements from stakeholders, including engineering teams, project leaders, and other functional groups. Utilize requirements management tools, such as Code Beamer and similar platforms, to develop, track, and maintain requirements throughout the development process. Ensure requirements are well-defined, testable, and traceable from concept through validation. Apply systems engineering principles and best practices to improve requirement quality and consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and manage requirement gaps, conflicts, and dependencies. Support the development of verification and validation activities, including test plans and test cases. Manage interfaces and integration requirements across vehicle platforms and subsystem projects. Promote adoption of systems engineering tools, processes, and methodologies through coaching and team support. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to requirements management and systems engineering practices.

Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of experience in product or subsystem design engineering within a structured product development environment. Strong understanding of requirements development, including the ability to distinguish and create high-quality, actionable requirements. Experience collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and manage requirements. Experience using requirements management tools such as Code Beamer, DOORS, Jama, Requisite Pro, or similar platforms. Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt to varying levels of systems engineering rigor and process maturity. Preferred Experience applying systems engineering processes at the vehicle, product, or subsystem level. Familiarity with INCOSE systems engineering principles and requirements best practices. Background in automotive, aerospace, defense, or other complex engineered products industries. Experience with interface management and system integration activities. Previous experience supporting verification, validation, and testing efforts. Experience mentoring or coaching teams on systems engineering tools and methodologies.
