We are seeking an experienced Health Feature Reporter for Epoch Health, the health section of The Epoch Times. The ideal candidate will excel at finding unique story angles, conducting interviews and research, and writing engaging, original features. At Epoch Health, we cover an extensive range of topics, including: how handwriting lights up your brain, the tech epidemic eating away American minds, how one blockbuster drug may undermine another, and herbal remedies for everyday ailments. The candidate should uphold The Epoch Times’ editorial standards and believe in our mission of delivering truth, tradition, and hope.

Responsibilities:
Pitch original story ideas Get at least 2 interviews for each story Write engaging, clear, concise features Support articles with solid sourcing, including high-quality studies and expert insight Make sure your article is accurate and fair in presenting different views Address feedback from editors and make revisions Write in-depth, long-form features occasionally
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in feature writing, preferably on health and wellness Experience in securing engaging, incisive interviews for any given story Experience in finding and correctly interpreting high-quality studies Original story ideas that people want to know about Strong narrative skills to deliver complex stories in a thorough yet readable way Openness to feedback and new ideas
Pay Rate:
The pay scale varies depending on the nature and depth of the article, with a minimum of $300 per piece.
