Senior Manufacturing Accountant

Key Responsibilities: Own and improve manufacturing cost accounting processes Develop and maintain costing methodologies for products, components, and sub-assemblies Track and analyze material, labor, overhead, and production variances Manage and improve inventory valuation, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods Support cycle counts, physical inventory, and excess/obsolete inventory processes Work with Operations and Engineering to maintain BOM accuracy and improve cost visibility Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Assist with budgeting, forecasting, operational KPIs, and cost-per-unit analysis Evaluate manufacturing Cap Ex and support make-versus-buy decisions Help strengthen internal controls across inventory, procurement, and production activity Support ERP and systems improvements, with Deltek Costpoint experience highly desirable Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for operational and technical teams

Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience At least 3 years of recent manufacturing or cost accounting experience Strong understanding of: BOMs Inventory costing Manufacturing routings Labor and overhead variances WIP and finished goods Hardware supply chains Experience working within a complex manufacturing environment Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience with ERP/accounting systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Highly Desirable Aerospace, defense, automotive, EV, electronics, or other advanced hardware manufacturing experience Experience in a high-growth or scaling manufacturing business Deltek Costpoint Government contracting or DCAA exposure CMA and/or CPIM certification Experience helping implement or improve manufacturing finance processes and controls
