We are assembling a small team of fiber splicers to work on residential neighborhoods, focusing on both routine splicing and emergency or outage response. The team, typically 2-5 members, will tackle projects involving mixed residential networks. Truck, trailer, and all necessary splicing equipment are provided, with production-based pay. Occasional day travel and some out-of-town projects may be required, though overnight stays are infrequent.
Responsibilities:
Perform fiber splicing in residential neighborhoods Respond to emergency and outage-related fiber repairs (under 25% of work)Operate and maintain splicing equipment and tools Collaborate effectively within a small team of 2-5 members Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines Conduct OTDR testing and troubleshooting as needed Travel occasionally to out-of-town job sites
Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in fiber splicing Knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques Proficiency with OTDR testing and troubleshooting Strong teamwork and communication skills Effective time management abilities
