Manufacturing Engineer – New Model Launch

What You Will Be Doing: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work as part of a cross-functional team responsible for the successful launch of new vehicle and manufacturing programs.

Key responsibilities include: Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for assigned subsystems, including Electrical, Powertrain, Suspension, Exterior, and Interior. Collaborate with Product Development teams to establish facility and tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements. Use virtual engineering tools to evaluate the manufacturing feasibility of new model designs for high-volume assembly operations. Create, modify, and maintain process sheets and cycle line layouts. Lead the identification, resolution, and closure of assembly and machining feasibility issues. Develop and manage master schedules for the design, build, and implementation of tooling within assigned subsystems. Lead tooling installation, startup, and commissioning activities for assembly, body, machining, battery cell, and related manufacturing operations. Support tooling buy-offs at supplier and vendor facilities. Lead the identification and resolution of product and tooling issues throughout launch. Develop lessons learned from new model launches and implement preventive actions for future programs. Support department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation (SQDCPMEI) initiatives. Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance
