Partner- Incident Response, Data Privacy & Regulatory

Role Description: This is a full-time, fully remote Partner-level position for an experienced attorney with 6+ years of experience focused on cybersecurity incident response, data privacy, and regulatory investigations. The Partner will serve as a senior legal advisor to clients navigating significant cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, privacy matters, and regulatory inquiries. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience leading incident response engagements, advising on complex privacy and regulatory issues, and managing relationships with sophisticated clients. This role offers the opportunity to take a leadership position within KLA’s growing cybersecurity and privacy practice while helping clients navigate high-impact and time-sensitive legal challenges.

Responsibilities: Lead complex cybersecurity incident and data breach response matters from initial response through resolution Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients on cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, and regulatory matters Advise organizations on federal and state privacy requirements, breach notification obligations, and regulatory compliance Lead and manage regulatory investigations, inquiries, and communications with governmental authorities Develop and oversee incident response strategies involving complex legal, regulatory, operational, and business considerations Advise clients regarding regulatory exposure, enforcement risk, and mitigation strategies Lead client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to executives, boards, and other key stakeholders Coordinate multidisciplinary response teams, including forensic investigators, cybersecurity professionals, insurers, consultants, and other advisors Draft and oversee regulatory submissions, legal memoranda, client communications, and other high-level legal work product Monitor emerging cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory developments and advise clients on their potential impact Collaborate with KLA attorneys across litigation, cybersecurity, privacy, technology, and regulatory practices Mentor and develop attorneys working within the practice Contribute to the continued growth and strategic development of KLA’s cybersecurity, privacy, and incident response practice Qualifications 6+ years of legal experience with significant experience in cybersecurity, incident response, data privacy, and regulatory matters Demonstrated experience leading cybersecurity incident and data breach response engagements Strong background advising clients on data privacy and regulatory requirements Substantial experience handling regulatory investigations, inquiries, or enforcement matters Proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes, and time-sensitive client matters Strong executive-level communication and client relationship skills Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and strategic skills Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and develop attorneys Ability to work independently while collaborating across a multidisciplinary legal team Strong business judgment and a practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal issues Experience with cybersecurity, technology, insurance, or emerging regulatory issues is highly valuedJD from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Why KLA LegalKLA offers experienced attorneys the opportunity to build and lead sophisticated legal practices at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, privacy, and emerging risk.
