💼 Type: Full-Time💰 Compensation: $100,000–$165,000, based on experience Join a Growing Florida Insurance Defense Firm Hightower & Partners, an AV-rated insurance defense firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with approximately 2–5 years of experience to join our West Palm Beach office. We are looking for an attorney who already has a strong foundation in insurance defense litigation and can step into an active caseload with minimal ramp-up. Prior insurance defense experience is required, we are not looking to train someone from the ground up on insurance defense litigation. That said, you will receive training and support on our firm's specific procedures, systems, expectations, and approach to handling cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to continue building their career in a collaborative environment while taking meaningful ownership of their cases.

About the Role: The attorney will manage a caseload involving insurance defense matters, including bodily injury, automobile accidents, premises liability, and general negligence claims. You will be involved in all phases of litigation and will have the opportunity to handle cases with increasing autonomy while working alongside experienced attorneys and support staff.

Responsibilities: Manage an assigned caseload of insurance defense matters Handle cases through all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents Conduct and defend depositions Attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings Participate in trial preparation and develop case strategy Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders Evaluate claims, liability, damages, and potential exposure Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations Work effectively with paralegals and legal support staff Maintain accurate and timely billing and case documentation Meet deadlines and manage a busy litigation caseload effectively What We're Looking For 2–5 years of experience practicing insurance defense litigation Insurance defense experience is required Active Florida Bar license and membership in good standing Experience independently managing litigation matters Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience with depositions, hearings, mediations, and discovery Strong case-management and organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, team-oriented attitude Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidanceA writing sample is required with your application What We Offer✅ Competitive salary of $100,000–$165,000, based on experience and qualifications✅ Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more✅ Training on our firm's systems, procedures, and case-handling processes✅ Supportive, team-oriented work environment✅ Opportunity to handle meaningful litigation matters with increasing autonomy✅ Exposure to all phases of insurance defense litigation✅ Professional development and continued growth opportunities✅ Advancement opportunities based on performance Ready to Take the Next Step?
