Environmental Advisor

SMG is seeking a local Environmental Advisor in Lebanon, IN. The Environmental Advisor is responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic environmental goals within their assigned region, plant, and project scope.

Additional Information: SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier. Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Overview: Of Job Responsibilities Support the client with wastewater and hazardous waste tracking and management. Develop procedures and processes to track and manage various waste streams. Identify and coordinate with key participants in applicable departments. Develop and maintain an electronic file management system. Coordinate with the disposal company to ensure proper disposal and “cradle to grave” documentation. Conduct assessments to ensure permit compliance.

Requirements: Minimum of five years of environmental experience A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field is required Must possess a thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve Have excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative Physical Demands of the job may include Moving long distances Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period Working in extreme weather Being exposed to loud noises Wearing personal protective gear correctly Join an elite group of Safety Professionals! Salary Description: $79,000 - $104,000
