Litigation Associate

Role Description: The Litigation Associate will handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, and preparing for hearings and trials. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing case files, communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, and participating in depositions and court appearances under supervision as needed. The role involves reviewing and analyzing documents, developing case strategies, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pittsburgh, PA, with opportunities for mentorship, courtroom experience, and increased responsibility over time.

Qualifications: Strong foundation in Law, including civil procedure and substantive areas relevant to the firm’s practice Experience or training in drafting motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents Proficiency in legal Research using electronic databases and traditional resources Exposure to or readiness to handle Depositions, including preparation of outlines and review of transcripts Familiarity with Courts, including local rules, filing procedures, and courtroom practices Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility for licensure) in Pennsylvania Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and organization Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong professionalism, ethical judgment, and commitment to client service and teamwork
